Online Seminar on The Reality of Refugees from Afghanistan

One year has passed since Afghanistan was overrun by the Taliban in August last year, some 180,000 people have fled the country.
Considering the situation, the Japanese Government has also given special consideration to the residency status of Afghans and has accepted around 740 people. Refugees have also come to Hamamatsu City, where HICE is also providing support.

We will hear about the actual situation of these refugees from Afghanistan, from those involved in the field and from experts.
We will consider what we can do for Afghanistan’s refugees to Japan.
Afghanistan refugees are also scheduled to speak at the conference.

  • Part 1: Talk Session
  • Part 2: Panel Discussion (Moderator: Ms. Matsuoka Marie, Deputy Director of HICE)
