Advice for living in Hamamatsu
As long as you obtain certain information from us, living in Hamamatsu is just as easy. We got you covered!
This is a life orientation program for foreign residents who are newly starting life in Hamamatsu City, their accompanying family members, and Japanese spouses who are also beginning a new life here.
You will learn essential information for daily living, such as how to access hospitals, school matters, bicycle rules, disaster preparedness, neighborhood associations, and more. In the second half, there will be a social gathering with tea and snacks. Enjoy chatting with Japanese participants while having tea!
※The orientation will be conducted in English. Handouts will be provided in both English and easy Japanese. The social gathering will be conducted in both English and easy Japanese.
You don’t need to speak English to participate!

The second Wednesday of every month between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at Hamamatsu Intercultural Center, starting from June 2026 except for August.
